Encounter Event Poster

For the annual Encounter event, Kingswood University decided to go with a Star Wars theme. This is a weekend event targeted towards high school youth, so they were looking for something that would easily engage their demographic.

The project deliverables included:
> Printable poster (2340x3500)
> Website banner (1920x815)
> Slideshow banner (1240x900)
> Instagram post (1080x1080)


For this project I solely used Adobe Photoshop, taking inspiration from the Star Wars movies and advertisement campaigns to find something that encompassed the theme while clearly displaying the event information.

Previous Renditions

For the first few renditions of the poster, I played with the colours, fonts, images, and sizing. After narrowing down what Kingswood was looking for, we decided to go for a darker poster, the prequel style logo, and Star Destroyer ships.

Alternate Sizing

Finally, Kingswood also requested the poster be made in alternate sizing so they can use it for banners, slideshows, and Instagram posts.
